Middle Roaring Fork River rafting

Employment

Thank you for your interest in the possibility of working for Aspen Whitewater Rafting this summer season. We are a small, tight-knit organization whose philosophy is for the employees to have as much fun as possible while providing an outstanding, safe experience for our guests. We are currently hiring for the following positions:

RAFT GUIDES: Looking for an exciting summer in Colorado? Enjoy being active and outside? Then spend your summer out on the river with Aspen Whitewater. No experience necessary. Our on-river guide school is designed to teach you the basics of guiding a boat in accordance with Colorado state regulations. We are looking for people with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, the ability to listen, and be a team player. Being a raft guide comes with much responsibility. However, for the right individual it can be an amazing, fun, and rewarding experience. Experienced guides and trip leaders also encouraged to apply.

SHUTTLE DRIVERS: Work with our office staff and guides to safely transport guests to and from the river. We are looking for people with strong communication skills and a positive attitude. Commercial Driver’s License helpful but not required. CDL training available for the right candidates.

SALES/OFFICE STAFF (PT/FT): Assist guests with booking the right adventure for their group or family. Maintain and update company website and manage other social media campaigns. Help set up daily logistics. Assist with end of season reporting to local and federal government agencies. Retail sales. Monitor online brand reputation and respond to reviews. Opportunity to earn additional income based on sales success. We are looking for people with strong communication, organizational, and writing skills.

Important Information:

  • Please attach your current resume to the application below and don’t forget to hit send.
  • INTERVIEWS: Will be set up when we receive the attached application and a resume. We can interview applicants on the phone and online.
  • NEW GUIDE SCHOOL: Will start in mid May 2024.
Please note that Class will not be held every day during this  period. The goal is to provide you with a minimum of 50 hours of on-river experience by a guide-instructor. First Aid and CPR are also required and we will set up a class during our guide school period. Again, you do not have to be an expert when you show up, but you must be willing to learn and we want to see a positive progression. At the end of the 50 hours of expierance (or when you are ready) each guide must complete a checkout trip. This trip is with paying clients, a guide-instructor, and must be a flawless run from start to finish. These are the minimum guide qualifications required by the state of Colorado.
  • Aspen Whitewater Rafting is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We do not discriminate against any applicant because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex/gender/sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, or age.

Please feel free to contact us if you need more information.

Kind regards,

Jim Ingram & Dan Leuschel, Owners
